Education Research: Tests and Assessments

Basic information about and resources for doing research in the fields of educational leadership, curriculum instruction, child and family development, counseling and special education.

If you want to look at the references noted in the MMY database you will need to go to the books to get the citations. Also Test Critiques has some older reviews that may also be helpful.

Test/Assessment Databases

The Mental Measurements Yearbook is the primary database for finding reviews of major published assessments. Reviews will include validity and reliability as well as background on how the instrument was developed.

PsycINFO, and ERIC will provide you with additional information about how an instrument is being used and some articles comparing it to other instruments. These databases can also help you identify a test on a particular topic.

Circulation Policy

Atkins Library's test collection is a highly restricted collection. The items circulate only to those enrolled in a class involving assessment and evaluation.

The tests are located at the Circulation Desk on the main floor of the library.

Tests circulate for 3 days. Overdue fine rate is $5.00 per day.

The circulation period is time sensitive. If you check a test/assessment out at 4:00 PM it must be back before 4:00 PM three days later.
