Alumni Services at Atkins Library

This guide is to help connect Alums to the services at Atkins Library.

Alumni Access at Atkins Library

Alumni (graduates of UNC Charlotte) are automatically given access to the library through our Friends of Atkins Library card During this time, Alumni who need assistance or who would like to request items to borrow should contact the Circulation Desk at 704-687-0491 as library facilities and services are limited to students, faculty, and staff until further notice.

Benefits include:

  • Borrow up to 6 books for 21 days with 2 renewals

  • Invitations to all library events and selected campus events

  • Library Newsletters and Annual Reports

For more information about using your card in the library, call the J. Murrey Atkins Library Circulation Desk at 704.687.0491 or email circdesk@uncc.edu. You will be asked to present a valid state driver's license, identification card, or voter registration card. 

UNC Charlotte Alumni Association

Benefit 1

The Alumni Perks card (Alumni card) can be used to check out materials at the J. Murrey Atkins Library. If you join the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association, you will receive a free Alumni Perks card, which can be used to check out up to six items at a time.

Endnote

Endnote is a software tool that helps manage citations, bibliographies, and references for research, essays, and other scholarly communication. If you downloaded Endnote to your desktop as a UNC Charlotte student, the software will remain even after you graduate. For more information, see Alumni Access to Endnote.
