What is the Records Retention Schedule? 

  • The Records Retention & Disposition Schedule is a tool for staff & faculty at UNC system schools to use to manage the records created in their offices. It outlines the typically records created by university offices & dictates how long those records should be maintained (retention), how they should be disposed (disposition), & which records have permanent retention value & should be sent to the University Archives.
