Welcome
Established in 1987 as a cooperative venture between the J. Murrey Atkins Library at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, the UNC Charlotte Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education, and the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA, the Center serves as the primary contact point for teachers/educators in North Carolina. It provides elementary, secondary, and university educators teaching in North Carolina easy access to instructional materials suitable for use in their classrooms. These inquiry based materials can provide a springboard for classroom discussions in life science, physical science, astronomy, earth science, environmental, mathematics, engineering, technology and career education. Materials are evaluated and assigned a grade level by a task force composed of educators representing the kindergarten through post-secondary levels.
