EndNote 101: Find Full Text

Everything you need to get started with EndNote.

How to Find Full Text PDFs in EndNote

EndNote allows the user to add PDF files to the library.  In order to find multiple PDFs at one time, the following parameters must be set up:

Within EndNote, click on "Edit."  Then select "Preferences."  Then select "Find Full Text."

Next, put a check mark in each of the selections.

In the Open URL box, put:  http://HL5KA4CM7M.search.serialssolutions.com/

Authenticate with:  https://librarylink.uncc.edu/login?url=

Then click on the "Find Full Text" icon at the top of the page.  EndNote will then look for any available PDFs through Atkins Library and include them with your reference.

You will be able to note that EndNote is searching on the left hand side of your library where you see "Find Full Text" and the plus box.  If you click on the + box, you will be able to see how many PDFs were found.  PDFs will also be indicated by a paper clip in your reference citation.
